I gave up on the whole preorder thing... especially for SW. I am hoping someone will have some freebies when its in stores. Maybe a 5th disc or some other freebie.

Yeah, definitely Star Wars, which I just happily preordered today. I feel happy just having the order in.

Walt Disney Treasures Wave 3

I ordered them in August when they were scheduled to be released on Dec. 2. In the end, it will have been a little over 8 months.

I've also got those Disney Wave 3 tins on preorder, but I think my preorder for The Lower Depths CC has been brewing much longer (June 23, 03)!

good question...but I'm not for sure. I know I ordered both The Mondo Cane Collection and the just released limited set of The Final Countdown, also from Blue Underground....about 3 months before release.

then again, I pre-ordered The Other on dvd about 4 years ago....and it's still not released. well...that is I ordered it in my mind. does that count?

as soon as A Lizard In a Womans Skin comes out....that might be my most "in advance" order. pre-ordered it early last year and it's still not here.

It was the E.T. box set misprice and the R4 Back to the Future set. In both cases, I remember ordering about two months in advance.

I've pre-ordered DVD about 2-3 months ahead at most, so far. Any reason to pre-order so far ahead?

I think im about to pre-order star wars from amazon right now. That would be the longest for me. Do you guys think thats about the lowest price your going to get it anywhere? 41.99 with free shipping seems like one hell of a deal to me.

Considering this will be the #1 DVD release of the year maybe of all time. I would definately hold off for Best Buy or even your local grocery store.
