Anyone remember " The Great Grape Ape" ? :)

This was a Hanna Barbera cartoon series aired on ABC back in 1975 as part of the Tom & Jerry show series.

I'm just wondering if I can find it on video or dvd. I searched on google/froogle and didn't come up with anything more then just the episode titles, that's all.

Anyone out there old enough to remember this cartoon and knows where I can get my hands on it?

There is someone who uses the name "Grape Ape" on Medal of Honor Multiplayer. I bet that is where he got the name from. If I happen to see him on a server I'll ask him if my hunch is indeed correct.

As far as I know, the series itself hasn't been released on DVD (or VHS, for that matter). However, Grape Ape also appeared on 'Scooby's Laff-a-Lympics' in the '70s (he was part of Yogi Bear's team). Incidentally, I'm pretty sure Grape Ape was a Hanna-Barbera character, while Tom & Jerry are MGM characters. Anyway, there's at least one DVD and a few VHS compilations of 'Laff-a-Lympics'...your best bet is eBay. Good luck with your search!

Just saw one of these cartoons on boomerang which is on my digital cable. I believe the channel is 143 Time Warner Digital Cable here in Cincinnati. Not sure I really need the dvd though but it was neat seeing it again.

I remember Grape Ape and Beagly Beagly.

For the record, I was in an honors fraternity that had the Great Grape Ape as our mascot.

I loved that show! I use "Grape Ape" as my handle when I play "Medal of Honor."

Can this be the person ho78 is talking about?

Grape Ape was good...but Muttley was way cooler!

The DVD can be found under "Wacky Races" and there is an Asian 3 DVD set for $69.99 right now.

cheers!

I remember watching Grape Ape as a kid, but its definitely one of Hanna Barbera's more obscure cartoons. They are just getting around to Flintstones DVDs, so I'm sure that Grape Ape is waaaaaay down on the list.
