The Incredible Shrinking Man... WHEN ?!?

Does anyone at all have any information on when / if "The Incredible Shrinking Man" will come to DVD ?? This is classic 50's science fiction done extremely well. In fact, I would put it right up there with "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "Fantastic Planet".

It just makes no sense to me at all why this isn't out yet...

Does Universal still own the rights?

Any info would be great...

I'm assuming they do since my LD was released by them. There are some other Sci-Fi/Horror type films that Universal needs to get out the door. IMHO someone who knows what they are doing needs to be put in charge of UNiversal's DVD department.

I hate Universal. Too bad they have the rights to so many good movies.

I'm still waiting for "the Incredible Shrinking Woman"..

Perhaps they'll make a good 2-pack?

Not to go too off topic but on the other side of the scale I'd like to see the original ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN. I see that the remake with Daryl Hannah is coming out soon. Aren't both of these Warner Bros. titles? We get the remake but not the 50's original?

THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN is great. One of the first old movies I remember seeing. I'm a bit of an arachnophobe so I could relate to those scenes even if the spiders I've encountered weren't quite that size. Come to think of it, they were that size. It's just me who wasn't that small.

I too would really like to see this "SF noir" classic on DVD. It is one of the few 50s Sci-fi films that still holds up as a film. It has been one of my favorites for many years and I've held off getting it on VHS because I thought it would certainly be out on DVD soon. Of course, I thought the same thing about "King Kong" 3 years ago.

I didn't think that Lili Tomlin's spoof was all that good. Not as good as "All of Me." But that was primarily Steve Martin's movie.

What's the deal with Universal and their DVD plans, anyway.
