How do you display your box sets?
Out of curiosity, I just wanted to know how you folks do it. I have opted to display them so that the full box artwork on the "back" shows, instead of the discs themselves through the "front". The only exception is the Monty Python set - the spine colors are a rainbow of flavors!

Mine are back out, just like Rocky. They don't detract from the others because they're all grouped together. The only ones that aren't back out are the Monty Python entire series collection, just like his. For me, I wonder what is the point of having a box for a set if you don't see the artwork?

Whatever way I can get them to fit on a shelf... front, back, side, top...that takes up the least amount of room. And yes, I do keep them all in their boxes, except for the Scarface gift set...I put the two films in with my collection and threw the box, "lobby cards" and money clip in the back of the closet.

Front-ways so that the discs show
I'd be interested to see someone's collection arranged so that the "Discs" themselves show while on the shelf. How is this even possible???
Backwards so that the artwork is displayed
Backwards(???) to display artwork???
Shouldn't that say "Displaying front cover to show artwork" ???

This choice makes no sense either.

Look at my picture - maybe I should've said closed end versus open end or spine-in versus spine-out. When you see my Monty Python set, it is spine-out so that it displays the discs - I call that front-ways. My Jazz set is spine-in or backwards - you see the artwork on the box. Sorry for the confusion.
The other reason I started this thread is because I went back through my DVD Profiler list and cleaned it up in terms of box sets versus individual discs. That meant removing Werid Science, Sixteen Candles, and the Breakfast Club as individual discs and inserting High School Reunion boxset. I wanted my list to better represent what I have on the shelves.

Depends on my mood that day. I'll go thru and redo them sometimes when I'm bored. Boxsets I'm really proud of I turn so they're face out, like the Toy Story Ultimate Toybox.
Also, I try to keep series together on the same shelf, so I'll have a gap on the one above or below, and I'll turn a box set out to fill in the space. I had my 2 disc Dances with Wolves set from Image turned out for awhile at one point for this reason. Or I'll put in a lunchbox or other trinket like that.

Depends. In some cases the spines look cooler (BU's Spag. Western Collection) other times the front will look better (Mondo Cane Collection) or the side-artwork shines (Jurassic Park Collection)
It's back & forth for me.

Depends on the boxset. For the TV Series, where the different discs are just episodes, I show it backwards so the title of the set shows. For movies, I usually show the individual movies, but if the shelf is not cramped, I might show them sideways to show the art.
