Voted other.
I do both, depending on which looks better. For instance, I have my Nightmare on Elmstreet set facing with the spines out, so you can see the kickass desing formed by the individual spines. But for my Godfather set, I have the spines in, cuz the individual titles are hard to see with the spines out.

Depends on the boxset. For the TV Series, where the different discs are just episodes, I show it backwards so the title of the set shows. For movies, I usually show the individual movies, but if the shelf is not cramped, I might show them sideways to show the art.
