"40 bucks is pretty damn reasonable if you ask me."

At 8 episodes that's $5.00 an episode.

Compare this to the X-Files: 24 episodes for roughly $100 that's 4.17 an episode. Not that far off but considering the series is quite a few years old compared to X-Files and that number is troubling to say the least.

I think the studios are shooting themselves in the foot with this one. Quantum Leap does not have as large a fan base as the X-Files does. My 2 cents

Well, Leap is hitting the stores for pre-order. And all you "60 bucks is too much" people can clam up now. DDD has it for 38.99 and Amazon has it for 41.99 (less StL, of course).

Yep. $37 and change with STL. That I can live with. Still not great but do-able.

Well, I don't know where you got your sets, but I got my X-Files sets for around $78/per that would equal $3.25 per episode. That is a stretch from $37(Amazon w/STL)/8 = $4.65 / episode.

This is a must buy for me, so I will be purchasing it. They better release all the seasons, though.

Honestly I think that everyone will be surprised by how well this sells... there is a much larger fan base for this show than some of you realize... besides, I have spent $40-$60 on lots of things that I have never even seen... the way I see it, most of this show's fanbase can afford it... we aren't teenagers who are surviving on an allowance.

This is awesome! I'm not sure if I've even seen the first season, 'cause I think I started watching on the second one. I wouldn't pay $60 for it, but $40 not too bad.

No 5.1 mix?

Max Bottomtime 03-06-04 03:32 PM

Why would they have DD2.0 mono when the show was produced and aired originally in stereo?
