Trouble Playing DVD's
I have purchased the Jimmy Neutron DVD from CH as a part of my enrollment package. Well when I went to play the movie it started just fine, the paramount logo showed up with no problem but then everything went black! I have tried leaving the dvd playing for a while to see if it was just having trouble loading but all I have ever seen is the black screen. I have never had this happen before, all of my DVD's have worked just fine before this. Since then I have had one other DVD do this (Grease) and it is also a Paramount film. This is the second copy of Jimmy Neutron I have received. I returned the first copy thinking that the blank screen is a result of a problem with the DVD but the replacement is having the same problem, this leads me to believe that it is a problem with my player? I have a Apex AD-1225. Has anyone had this problem before? Thanks=)

Apex........eeeeek!
Never buy a DVD player at the same place you buy your underwear.
Seriously, though...it's probably a compatibility issue. I used to work at CH, and we had the same problem with certain company's movies when the PS2 first came out. We had to assure people it wasn't the discs. Have you tried playing it in another player?

You may not be able to play them in the Apex, unless they have some kind of upgrade or fix for whatever the problem may be, if it is in fact a compatibility issue.
Try them in another player...preferably one made by a company without the word "ape" in the name.
