Gee, not too many responses to this thread so far!

I thought this was a fine movie. I got to see a prestreet copy this past weekend, and I thought it was a really well done movie. The plot is a simple boy/girl love story, but the characters and the off beat undertones of the movie really make it worth watching, and really make the simple plot line more engaging. It's not really good because of what happens, but because of how it happens. And I was really surprised to learn that the cast did all of the talent work on the movie (like Adrien Brody doing the ventriloquist work, Milla Jovovich doing her own singing-which is worth seeing the movie for those scenes alone). If anybody is wondering if they should see this, I say if you like indy movies like Rushmore and Storytelling and Being John Malcovich, you might like this. This movie is NOTHING like those other three, but it's definately for the movie goer that likes good movies that are off the beaten path. If you're tired of the regular fluff out of Hollywood, see this.

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and I saw copies of it as well.

I picked this up last night at a WM here in Indiana, 20 bucks, I believe that was what Best Buy had it listed for also.

I'll probably pick this one up just for the simple fact that it has Milla Jovovich in it I also enjoy Adrien Brody's work. But why have I not heard of this movie? The first I heard of it was when I saw a commercial for the dvd during the Simpsons last night. Did it get a theatrical release?
