They shouldn't have gone with that cover. I'm aware that Bruce is somewhat the name, and he is the one getting much of the praise for the movie... but it's just not a good picture!

That's the poster I have in my room, and it looks so very much better than the one they're going with

I saw this movie last night...and it was AWESOME. It wasn't as "horror" as I was expecting, but DAMN it was good. Bruce was PHANTAStic. I will for sure be picking this up on the release date. If you get a chance, go see it in the theatre, you'll have a ball.

The soundtrack to Bubba Ho-Tep ain't too shabby either. I've been listening to that quite a bit lately, and it certainly has my mouth watering for the DVD!

I think it's just a slipcover.

Looking at Bruce's website, looks like one release.

Amazon lists one release. DDD lists a CE and a SE but there's only a description for the SE.

Just saw the flick tonight, the performances weren't as over the top as I had expected them. Looking forward to the commentaries on the DVD.

My copy of the Limited Collector's Edition R1 DVD arrived this morning and I watched it tonight. The "Limited" bit seems to be a raised slipcover and a scrapbook inside the Amaray.

Awesome film that had me laughing all the way through. Great extras too!

I didn't listen to it all but it mainly seemed to consist of Bruce Campbell in Elvis mode, munching snacks and mumbling random comments about the movie as it unfolds, as if he were watching it for the first time. What I listened to made me chuckle

Did anyone who has the DVD see the funny little elvis bit after the credits? There was a scene where Elvis says "Be kind and Rewind" then he pauses "Oh wait, its a DVD, guess you dont have to do that anymore." Something to that affect. That was a cute little extra to throw in there.

The King Lives!

I'm really impressed by this release...not only for a movie that had a limited release but even compared to a major movie release.

Nice slipcover artwork, great booklet and an abundance of extras surrounds this gem-of-a-movie. This set is what DVD is all about and I'm glad more people will now have a chance to check out the fun that is Bubba Ho-Tep.

Finally found a copy in Des Moines - last copy at Borders, fantastic film. Was wondering however if anyone has had problems finding it at any retailers? Best Buy in Iowa City and the two Des Moines locations sold out on Tuesday. Rental establishments in a sixty mile radius of me who sell new disks also sold out. Two other mid size towns near me also sold out. Began to wonder if the "Limited" moniker refered to actual pressings.

I got mine on release day at Wal*Mart only because I there to snag Return of the King for $13 but they had a good number of Bubba Ho-Teps for $18.

Today, I stopped by for a headlight bulb and happened to walk by the DVDs. Most of them were gone... but they still had a lot of the Disney Treasure Tins. Go figure
