Last of Sheila

this is one of my "most wanted"---very glad to hear it's coming out--the only movie I know of which involves
Spoiler:
attempted strangulation by hand puppet
--it's a really clever whodunit with an excellent cast.

Most people are probably unfamiliar with this bizarre movie that is filled with pleasures. It's a convoluted mystery with enough eccentric behavior to last a lifetime. The script is by Stephen Sondheim and Anthony Perkins, and the cast is great. Can't wait!

This is one movie that scared the sh*t out of me when I saw it as a youngster in the theater. Loved Richard Benjamin and the great James Mason in it. to Raquel Welsh as well.

Spoiler:

Shoplifter
Homosexual
Ex-con
Informant
Little child molester
Alcoholic

Yeah. A very unusual film to be sure.

It originally got my attention because Raquel Welch and Dyan Cannon were likely to be bikini clad on a boat.

I was surprised to find a very interesting and suspenseful movie.

Written by Stephen Sondheim. A great film, one of the few I own on VHS (because they won't release the damn thing)
