What happened to the "Laura" DVD from Fox Studio Classics?

Any word on what happened with the release of "Laura" from the Fox Studio Classics collection? The DVD was featured--with cover art and everything--as a qualifying purchase for the free "Sunrise" DVD offer inserted into the other Fox Studio Classics I've bought (e.g., "Ox-bow Incident," "The Day the Earth Stood Still," "My Darling Clementine"). Amazon is showing only that it is currently not being manufactured. Apparently it was planned for release in late 2003; has anyone heard why it was pulled from the release schedule and when it will get into distribution?

I think they found better source elements. If that's the case, then I'd say that is a great reason for the delay.

I heard its going to be part of the new Film Noir line... But I'm not sure how true that rumor is.

Yeah, apparently in an interview somebody from Fox (can't remember a name or his position, but he was important) said that they were going to be coming out with a noir series later in 2004. I hope that it really happens because if they do as good a job with it as they have with the Studio Classics series, it's going to be good. I'll get just about all of those. But I really, really want Laura.

I hadn't heard the rumor of a Fox series of Noir Classics, but it sounds very intriguing. Has anyone heard what other titles might be included in this series ?

The Fox noir series was mentioned on another forum. No titles in the noir series have been reported. Just (lengthy) wish lists.

It will be interesting to get a list so we can cross off candidates for the Criterion agreement.

Laura is believed to be in the works for later this year in the Studio Classics series, but nothing official so far, so your guess is as good as the next persons.
