Looks like as good a time as any to finally buy the Canadian Collectors Edition of Ginger Snaps. Any recommendations on who's got the best price and availability on this?

I got mine from www.videoflicks.com back when it came out as well as some other Canadian exclusives. They're pretty good.

Lions Gate is releasing Ginger Snaps 2 to DVD meaning we will get a widescreen special edition instead of a full screen movieonly edition like Artisan pulled for the first film. Thankfully it'll look nice next to my Special Edition DVD of the first film from Canada.
It's too bad Artisan lost the rights to the first film (now 20th Century Fox's Key Video has them). Now since Lions Gate bought Artisan, they could've re-released the first film as a Signature Series DVD for those who haven't bought the Special Edition from Canada yet. Oh well.

Ginger Snaps II was surprisingly good. Not as good as the first but it's worth a buy when it comes out (although I'm sure some people will be disappointed).
Features:
Commetary
Deleted Scenes
English & Spanish Subtitles
Storyboards
Behind-the-Scenes Footage
Make-up FX Featurette
And it is Widescreen.

I have seen GS II four times in the theatre! A great sequel that is not predictable and was filmed (as well as the prequel) in my home town of Edmonton. I can't wait for April.

I'm interested in picking this up with the Canadian Collector's Edition of Ginger Snaps. Amazon.ca has a decent price when purchasing both together and shows the picture of the Collector's Edition for the first one but doesn't give an more info.
Does anyone know if this is the Collector's Edition or the crap one??

Just watched this, and Wow. What a great flick. I daresay it may even be better than the original. I say may, because the final scenes are a bit of an unnecessary letdown considering the buildup. While at first I thought I would miss Ginger, I realized her parts in this were pretty superfluous and could've been left out, since Bridgette was very capable of handling the film on her own. Of course then you couldn't have matching DVD covers. Atmosphere is way ramped up on this one (even the opening credits gave me the creeps, ugh) and the soundtrack definitely adds to the dread. A few nice scares and gore shots. This one was much more depressing than the first, which in my book is never a bad thing.

dvdboxoffice are over priced, go to www.dvdsoon.com far cheaper, and got mine today, and it has no insert, grrrr cheap buggers they are.
Ginger Snaps 1 is also at dvdsoon at a very cheap price indeed, and its the collectors edition too, havent seen 1 for a while so will watch em both back to back, and hope part 3 is out asap.
