Duh!! Go to the store and look at the shelves, go to Blockbuster and get some ideas, go to any online DVD site and look at the titles for ideas. But, hey - at least you gave a lot of people someone to chew on today!

Sorry guy but your in the realm of nerds so before you post something you have to ask them if your thread title meets their specifications. You should also run your question by a senior nerd errr.. I mean member before you ask them or else all the nerds get their panties in a bunch and say things much like many of them have already said on this thread.

No one here sans a few cool and helpful people will be willing to recommend a good movie because they would rather make fun of you than be helpful. It makes a lot of sense doesn't it?

Welcome to the forum

I'll be one of the nice guys and say, Run Lola Run.

Without a doubt a fantastic film. Also, don't watch the English dub..watch it in German with the subtitles.

Personally, I have seen the movie so many times, I bought the R2 German only DTS DVD because I know what is going on. On the plus side, my girlfriend is German and can translate if need be. :0

I almost forgot to recommend something...

The movie "May" is completely out of the ordinary.

I would also recommend Dellamorte Dellamore

I just picked up the 10th Anniv. edition of Ninja Scroll which is also an excellent pick.

Homer: [yelling at a student] Nerd!
Marge: Homer, that isn't very nice.
Homer: Marge, try to understand. There are two kinds of college students: jocks and nerds. As a jock, it is my duty to give nerds a hard time. [A "jock" walks by]
Hey pal! Did you get a load of the nerd?
Jock: [not understanding] Pardon me?

Is that that movie about people doing video chatting? With Internet hook-ups and such? I dunno if movies about the Internet ever work out (except, maybe, Hackers )

And, just in an attempt to be helpful, could you narrow the question down a bit? There are, like, 40 thousand DVDs out there. What are some films you've enjoyed recently? Genres you like? Areas that you haven't explored, but would like to?

Oh, the original DVD of the Shining. Don't go for the remastered. The old one is where it's at.
