The Tick DVD....Genius!
#26
finally watched this the other week. big fan of the tick but never got to watch it when it aired. and since i heard mixed things and its short length i didn't pick it up.
but thanks to DDD i gave it a shot.
i had mixed feelings during the first 2 or 3 episodes but by the end i was hooked and loved it. just re watched the 1st one with a friend and liked it as much as the rest, so did my friend.

I can't believe (well I guess I can) that a bachelor with midgets is on FOX right now (nothing against the little people) and The Tick is canned. Sad, sad day. Comedy Central or SciFi should PICK IT UP!

I was a huge fan of the animated series, but based on the pilot alone I thought they missed the mark, partly due to the production values, and maybe because I couldn't accept it being live action, I will probably give this a chance someday if I find it cheap (seems like everyone on here loves it might as well), but personally I would much rather have the animated episodes, which I thought had a much more of a comic book feel to it

If you go by the comics, then the LIVE-ACTION Show is more true to the comic books, than the animated series.
The animated series was great, but it was dumbed down a lot.
