I Wanna Hold Your Hand, will it ever get released?
Music rights are holding this film hostage at the moment & it seems to have not aired on tv expect for some rare showings on Vh1 & the Encore networks a few years back which I luckily caught.
I can't even find this for rental on VHS! So I was wondering,if Warner still owns the rights to the film. Will they ever get the music issue sorted out to get this great film released?
This film is too much fun & needs dvd release this very minute!

I'm not sure who owns this, but now would have been a great time to release it as it's the 40th anniversary of the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.
I have the Laser of this film which Warner put out but it is full screen. I'd love to see a OAR DVD.

I actually pulled the VHS off my shelf and almost watched it last night, since it was exactly 40 years. But watching VHS is such a downer, so I just stepped outside and stared at the stage door of the Ed Sullivan Theater for a few minutes (which is around the corner from me) and let it go at that.
Yes, I'd love this on DVD ... think of the extras (if they could get the rights) .. tons of newsreel footage, perhaps a clip of the actual performances...

It was mostly an invite-only crowd, but there were plenty of fans lined up to get in, and they all did. It was a very cool time.

Based on the title of your thread, I can say in my opinion that I don't think it'll ever get released... Looks like we'll be holding hands forever... hehe..
P.S. If you don't get this joke re-read the title of the thread

The title of the movie was based on the Beatles song. If you can't get the movie, just get the song.

This was posted in another thread but I thought that the news deserved a bump here:

No word on whether the original music is included on IWHYH ... let's hope so.
