Classic disney movies on DVD Coverart
What happened to the silver Animated Classics covers for the Disney movies? I think the author was Chris Elder if i am not mistaken. I downloaded Atlantis a week ago and went back to DVDCoverart today to download some more so that i could start replacing the covers on my Disney movies and they are gone. I can't even find the ones I have already downloaded.
Does anybody know the reason behind this? Just curious because I thought they were beautiful and it's a shame if I can't finish changing my DVDs over now that I have started.

I believe he had Matt hide them all for the time being. Check out this thread at DCA for answers to both of your questions:

That's just stupid. What about those of us that go there SOLELY to download CUSTOM covers? I guess that doesn't matter? You're right though. I'd MUCH rather have a SCAN of a Disney cover than an ORIGINAL creation by Chris Elder/Michael Corvin.
Jeez people..

way to contribute to the conversation.
this is almost as bad as the reactions to JJE's "request a cover" drama a couple months ago.
pulling covers is not the answer. it's a knee-jerk reaction. how 'bout pulling all the scanned covers and making it a CUSTOM cover site? why the hell would someone want a scan of the original cover? 99.9% of the covers guys create over there KICK THE ASS of the "original" covers. I remember a time when "scans" seemed to dominate the majority of the Top 25. I ALWAYS found myself
wondering why.
OR...if it's comments some creators want, make it mandatory for the user to submit comments before the next time they log in [this'll give them time to actually check out/print the cover]. i'll admit that I occasionally check my covers to see if someone's left feedback, in fact, there's some feedback that one of the admins left that's no longer relevant since the problem was fixed - and it's still there. but, I wouldn't stop creating covers if I never recieved a comment.
as for the fleecing of covers, I suppose we should let DarthVong comment on that. he's been a victim twice. Once with his Halloween covers showing up on eBay and the other time with his Star Wars Holiday Special covers showing up on a site.
