Alias S3 News
From TVshowsondvd.com by way of DA.com:
DVDAnswers.com's Tom Woodward did a little digging and got the scoop here about Alias - Season 3. Buena Vista told him that the exact release date for the third DVD set in Region 1 will be on September 7th.
DVDAnswers also reports that the release "should set you back somewhere in the region of $69.99. Again, each of the episodes should be presented in anamorphic widescreen along with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks."
Thanks to Tom Woodward of DVDAnswers.com for the revelation. Stay tuned, because it seems like the press release is coming soon. We'll have that, and cover art, just as soon as they are available.

WS and 5.1?? Awesome!
It will be interesting to see the episodes in widescreen, as they are shown in PS on broadcast (I'm not sure how they are shown on HD)

Alias is shown in WS on HDTV - love watching the show on my WS TV
. Can't wait for the s3 DVD set to come out so that I can "fully" catch up. Only started watching Alias during the last 2 eps in s2, and was going through the s1 & s2 boxsets during the beginning of s3 (not to mention missing a few of the s3 eps)

When does season 4 start up? I've only seen these on DVD, so I'm wondering how long I'll have to watch the DVDs before the new season, or if I'll have to tape a few episodes while I'm trying to get through s3.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Good news!
They're on S3 right now so I'm guessing S4 will start soon after the S3 DVD release. Now people can be completely caught up and maybe the ratings will get a tad better.

Awesome news. This is the only non-animated/Mr. Show TC dvd I own & the only TV show I watch so I'm so psyched for Season 3 as I only watch them as the DVDs come out.
Haven't even started season 2 yet, it should take me until about September to finish it.

It is possible that S4 will start sooner than Sept. I haven't heard anything specific to the show, but there is a lot of chatter about the networks "mixing things up" in order to compete with cable channels, dvds, and the internet. One of the networks (NBC?) said they would skip the summer re-runs and instead run new programming, others are talking about starting the fall season a month or two early.

More details here:
Buena Vista Home Entertainment have sent over the final details on season three of Alias which stars Jennifer Garner. As we have already reported, this six disc package will be available to own from the 7th September and should set you back somewhere in the region of $69.99. Each of the included twenty-two episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen along with Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include a Burbank to Barcelona production design featurette, deleted scenes, a blooper reel, an inside look at the gadget lab where you can see Marshall Finkman's gadgets go from script to screen, audio commentaries (including one with the Biggest Alias fan who will be chosen in a national promotion) a script scanner and the Alias Diaries where you can meet the unsung craftsmen and technicians who bring the show to life. Still no artwork for this one I'm afraid, but we'll bring you that soon.

Nice to see that they are going to put the set on the market so fast. The artwork on S2 looked great, can't wait to see what they do for the current season.
