I'm not finding it that great, simple for it's lack or R2 dvd support. Quite a few tv series I have are not listed there.

hmm may I ask, If I have a region 2 copy of a movie that seems exactly the same as the R1 listed (and the R2 is not) is it worth submitting?

thats up to you...but I would try to submit it. if info on the dvd is limited or you cant find a site that sells it any longer....make sure you supply an image/covershot the way they ask you to. I still have yet to replace my scanner and have around 4 titles to submit because of it.

I like DVD af b/c like most, they have just about every DVD in their database unlike Guzzlefish & others. Even though I like the features on Guzzlefish way more.

But after the first day of enter about the first 100 or so of my DVDs, I got bored with it & haven't updated since. I know many here live for those site, but they aren't worth the time for me.

Guess what? They just gutted it. They've taken out countless promo and limited edition DVDs, including several music ones and some James Bond ones.

here's a link to a partial list

Can you believe they took the South Park Pilot promo disc out?!

WHY?! That site is starting going to go down hill. Last time I tried to submit something, they were rude and declined it, even though I had all of the information they requested.

There was a post on the home theater forum complaining about how DVDAF refused some titles, then banned the user when he asked about it in the forums.

Doesn't one of the main owners of dvdaf post here? If so maybe he can answer some questions. Maybe this deserves its own thread?

This could be a good time to switch over to guzzlefish or dvd profiler.

I could understand about bootlegs, but delete bonus discs too? But as ED said on the forum, "..they offer no real value", except for the fact people have those as part of their collections.

Now I am real glad I didn't end up donating money to them.

What is next, deleting the bonus dvds that come with CD's?

Read that list, it looks like some of those were targeted too. This is very disappointing, and I hope I don't have to move my entire collection over somewhere else.

Though as it stands, it's not even showing my entire collection
