Any rumored release dates for Disney's and Dali's Destino?

Disney’s highly acclaimed and award-winning short DESTINO, which finishes up where Salvador Dali and Walt Disney left off, and is bound for the New York Film Festival this month, will bow on DVD in 2004 as part of a brand-new “making-of” documentary. AWN has learned that although a director has not been signed, Buena Vista Home Entertainment has already begun significant work by shooting interviews with legendary animators John Hench and Joe Grant. The DVD will additionally contain a Disney gallery featuring Dali’s DESTINO artwork, which the studio now owns.

DESTINO is currently showing before THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE, so hopefully it'll be part of that release. Both are terrific BTW.

MrE - do you know if that is true everywhere?

That would a darn good reason to go see Triplets (regardless of how good that may or may not be).

Yeah, so Roy can bitch about Eisner to 200 million people, live. I am so salivating for that. It'll be the first time in years I've wathed the oscars. I could care less about the Best Mediocre Film of the Year. But for the Roy shout down with Disney, I'm there.

Hopefully you're near a Landmark Theater.

From Movienet:
Destino will be shown with all Landmark Theatres engagements of The Triplets of Belleville, except in Los Angeles and New York City. In Los Angeles, the short will be shown with Calendar Girls. In New York City, the film will be hosted elsewhere.

Considering that it was a Roy Disney project, it may not happen.

6/29 Update: Roy Disney says the Disney Company has promised him that they're sill working on the DVD, but he doesn't know the release schedule.
