I'm a #1 Bond fan, but I mostly agree with Wild Yams. It's not really a thread crap when you tell the truth. The Bond franchise has been milked so long that anyone surprised that they are milking the DVDs is a fool. They'll rerelease these things 'till Doomsday.

James Bond: Do you expect me to talk, Goldfinger?
Auric Goldfinger: No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to buy.

I sold Thunderball through Diamonds Are Forever when they were still "OOP", so I'll just wait and fill my gap with the remastered versions. While I'm at it, I'll just go ahead and grab Dr. No, FRWL, and Goldfinger too since Connery flat out rules. I can easily live with the existing versions of the Moore, Dalton and Brosnan ones because replacing up to 20 movies I already have isn't sensible.
Besides, between Spike TV and AMC, I can watch these movies whenever I want. No need to rush out and get something that will be replaced in a matter of less than 2 years.

Nother Connery fan here (although DAF is a D-O-G). I'll wait for the first four on HD-DVD; unless that's what they release in '05. Hey, I can wish can't I? The current SE's will suffice til then. I have no buyers' remorse owning them the past 4 years. I've certainly gotten my $ worth over that time! Oh yeah, I've got the Collector's Edition car with FYEO, new in box. Sits atop my 007 titles on the self.

They could add scenes previously deleted on some films, the magic carpet bit in the living daylights for example, some extra violence in Licence to kill, how about booper reels and stuff.
No current interviews with Connery, Dalton or Pierce, mostly roger talked about his

Technically posts that talk about how great a film is would also be a "threadcrap."
Anyway, I'll channel John McLaughlin for a minute:
"The answer: we don't want your stinking remastered discs. Maybe we'll by them again in HD.
Goodnight."

I am still angry that the second and third boxed sets are not released individually as well, so I may not even continue buying Bond films. The current DVD's are all SE's. I really can't see why they need new SE's. Just release the damn films as individual products.

I have been a Bond fan since being taken to see Moonraker when I was 8 years old and I have all of the SE's. The producers really should take a risk and try some different things with the franchise. As for the new discs I will definitely pass. The current ones have all of the special features I could want and the picture and sound are fine with me.

I've been following the Bond films since the Connery days and am an avid fan, but I won't be replacing my set either, as was said in this thread already, replacing the full set isn't sensible. When I began collecting them you couldn't touch a Bond movie on disc for less than $20..........so hinking of forking out that $400 again is a bit revolting. The present transfers look fine to me as well.
