good move stopping at two, i think. while i love the show and can't wait to see S2 (we don't have BBC America) i really think its better to go out on top than ride it out for all its worth.

in related news, word is NBC is preparing an American version of The Office which with any luck will be tolerable but nowhere near as funny as the original.

Yup, that's what I said.

Anyone know for sure if the Seasons 1 and 2 "pack" includes all 3 discs (2 from season 1 and 1 from season 2)?

Buy.com, Amazon and DVDSoon lists it with only 2 discs total...

Interesting too is the fact that at most these places, it's actually about $1 cheaper to buy the DVDs separately instead of in the pack. At Best Buy, it's $25 cheaper to buy them separately!

It just came out! bought it and loved it. the comedy is not as subtle as the first season. it's more over the top and raunchy, in my opinion. i don't care though, it's still funny.

Yeah..as i've mentioned before great series.

Incidentally the BBFC has just classified the 'pilot' episode here in the UK so i would expect that to appear as a bonus extra on the 'Christmas Specials' release which will probably be at this very period here in the UK.
They were initially scheduled for release at Easter but since they decided to market Series 1 & 2 boxset the release date has been pushed back.

so "episode 1" in season 1 is indeed not the "pilot"?
oh and majorjoe23, i think the christmas speical was the series finale and was a half an hour, and it wrapped up all the story lines. the episode has not aired in the usa yet.

There were two Christmas Specials. I believe they were both 1/2 hour long shows.

I saw the first "special" and it was definetly closer to an hour long program. 45 minutes or so. I'm pretty sure the second one is the same length, as well.

Really enjoyed season two. True, it seemed a little more "blue" then the first six episodes. I also thought it was moving more in the direction of being serious. As it progressed I was getting more and more depressed for poor David. Terrific stuff.

The Christmas specials are scheduled to be released in the UK around December time although no street date announced here as yet...so i wouldn't expect to see a R1 release until early 2005 as it will undoubtedly be released here first.

I'm enjoying the blueness and David's antics on Season 2. However, I'm disappointed that it is so much more raunchy than Season 1. I'll probably sell mine after watching all the episodes. It's just a bit too raunchy for me to watch again. But Season 1 is a keeper.
