15 Minutes: DTS???

Hey all,

I'm a bit confused. I own the movie 15 Minutes (R1) and it does not have a DTS track on it. Yet I just checked the DTS site online and it lists the R1 as having DTS as do many retailers. What gives?? Is there a different version with DTS in Region 1?

Which retailers are you talking about? iirc, The R1 of 15 Minutes has no DTS tracks.

Sounds like a mistake, but an easy one to make, as most packed New line films in recent years have dts tracks. Perhaps it was announced with dts, but was dropped at the last minute, and most online sites never bothered fixing the info?

Well...Ebay has it as a part of their information on the film. DeepdiscountDVD, buy.com, circuit city, etc. Just do a search on the web for "15 Minutes" and DTS.

It was actually released in other regions with a DTS track and I was considering picking up the R3 edition for it. But I was just really confused. Didn't know if this was possibly a Canadian exclusive.

But again, the DTS official website lists it as a DTS title for R1.

Very very weird.

I believe this was the case. With the Infinifilm series, New Line packs so much onto one disc, but there isn't always room for everything. In my opinion, a DTS track wouldn't add much to 15 Minutes so it's not a big loss.

As I said, it was used in other regions (UK, Australia, Korea) and as far as I know, no special features were dropped.

I thought this had a very wide soundscape and would love a DTS track. Don't underestimate it.
