Top 10 "Selling" DVDs for 2003

Here is an updated list as of Dec 27th for the top 10 DVDs for 2003:

http://www.dvdfile.com/news/sales_s...scan/index.html

1. Finding Nemo
2. Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl: Collector's Edition
3. TT
4. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
5. Matrix Reloaded
6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
7. Lion King
8. Bruce Almighty
9. XXX
10. 8 Mile

I now have 7 out of 10, Matrix Reloaded, XXX and 8 Mile are the only ones I do not have.

Have a great new year!

Here are the 10 DVDs sellers (may not be the best, but they are the top sellers) of the year as of Dec 6th:

1. Finding Nemo
2. TT
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
4. Matrix Reloaded
5. Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl: Collector's Edition
6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
7. Lion King
8. XXX
9. 8 Mile
10. Chicago

Some of the postions might change by the end of the year, But I do not believe any new DVDs will sell enough to crack the top 10 by the end of the year.

DVD top selling list for the week or Dec 6th 2003:

I have the top 7 DVDs and I saw all of them in the theater.

I do not have XXX, 8 Mile (only movie I have not watched) and Signs.

Cost me over $350 dollars to see all of these movies in the theater (with wife and kids sometimes) and purchasing the DVDs.

Not complaining, just interesting to see how much cash I have spent on entertainment over the last year (when compared to the top 10 DVDs).

I have one from the list, which I just received for Christmas. I'll probably pick up TT at some point in the future though.

XXX at #8? Good Lord.

Why no Scarface? I thought that was one of the fastest selling DVDs when it came out.

I only have two: Finding Nemo and POTC. I had MBFGW, but I sold it.

Zero interest in owning any of the others.

I don't own any of them, but I've seen them all and I'll get Nemo eventually.

I have:

1. Finding Nemo
2. TT
3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
5. Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl: Collector's Edition
7. Lion King
8. XXX
9. 8 Mile

I got XXX by being silly on ebay. I bet one of my friends I could pick it for $5 including shipping. It took me about 15 auctions but I finally got it. Haven't watched the DVD though.

I'll probably pick up MBFGW for my girlfriend eventually though.

I own none of these, and have only seen Signs on that list.

I guess this confirms that my tastes are not very mainstream.

Nope, Scarface is listed at #18 for the year, which is awesome for a "Non-New Movie".

I donīt see Harry Potter listed anywhere on the URL you refere to... 8 Mile for that matter. You seem to have altered the top 10 yourself, havenīt you?

The original post stated that these numbers were as of Dec 6. Pirates had only been out for four days. I'm sure it'll climb higher by the years end and I would be surprised if it hasn't already passed Reloaded.

1. Finding Nemo
2. TT
5. Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl: Collector's Edition
7. Lion King
9. 8 Mile
10. Signs

Not bad, 7 outta 10. The only reason I did not buy Reloaded is because I am going to wait for the whole trilogy in a box set. As for Harry Potter and MBFGW I have no interest what so ever...and XXX? come on...no way.

If you look at the list Iron_Giant kindly posted, it does not show the best selling DVDs for the whole year of 2003.

Neither 8 Mile, Signs, XXX, My Big Fat Greek Wedding or Harry Potter are listed on the URL he referes to. I wonder how he came up with that Top 10 list. Surely, it not accurate.

I own every single one of those actually. I don't think there are any weak dvd's in that list.
