OMG I love Predator! A classic monster movie, and much, much more. A monster movie for the Thinking Person. I will never forget the first time I saw it. My old roommate dragged me to the video store to rent it, and then sat back like the cat who swallowed the canary and let me discover the first glimpse on my own. Totally creepy!

By the way, what special features were on other regions' versions? Somebody said there are some deleted scenes and documentaries, but what exactly? I'd love to know. This is one of my all time fave flicks.
"COME ON OUT YOU F*****S. 'OL PAINLESS IS WAITIN'."
Ha! I love it!

Remember the "uncut" version in England is the same as the theaterical version in U.S.
On the generously filled second disc there are seven short behind-the-scenes featurettes (including one dedicated to "Old Painless" the Gatling gun) plus a retrospective documentary, "If It Bleeds We Can Kill It", which includes both old and new interviews with many of the cast and crew. There are also outtakes and a deleted scene, special effects segments, camouflage tests and a text profile of the creature and its weaponry, plus a photo gallery

finally!
I'm glad i managed to hold off on the current version, this better be worth the wait.
If only we knew what the release date was...possibly before the release of Alien vs. Predator?

This is great news. Predator is a movie I'd have no problem double dipping on. My $10 copy has more than paid for itself, seeing as I've watched it many a time.
Love this movie, there's really nothing wrong with it.
"Bunch of slack-jawed faggots around here! This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me!"
Heh, definately one of the best action movies out there.

Forget this title. Already have the DTS version. WHERE's the True Lies SE DVD already!?

Cool. Definitely the best Arnold movie, in my opinion--I hope it has the AMC Backstore doc that AMC did (I think) two years ago. I remember having my dad tape the special and send it to me. It'd be nice to have on dvd.

It's going to be released in July.
There are four conditions on me buying this:
- New Transfer
- Better DTS Track
- Whole Bunch of Features
- Alien vs. Predator teasers/trailers (hopefully in DD 5.1)
I'm still disappointed that the separate releases got the teaser and the Quad. didn't.

I hear you there, brother! Although, I found the DTS track on the R1 release to be superior to the R4 DTS track.

Is this a confirmed release?
Because I have the DTS edition (and quite pleased with it) and It’s also one of my fav movie…
If I can sell or exchange my current edition, then get the newer one when it comes out, I would be more than happy!!

Predator is a bargain title as it stands now, you probably won't get much for it on ebay or whatever. I have seen the R2 extras and while they are neat, unless there is a better looking picture, I am holding off on it.

Yea, I got my dts version for $12 or something like that at BB.
But, as much as I like this movie, I'm definitely getting the SE, and will probably just hang onto the dts version anyway.
Sh!t, it's gonna be a looooong six months....
