I watched my dvd of BODY HEAT last night, a great film from 1981 with William Hurt and Kathleen Turner . This was the first dvd I bought when it came out in 1997. I was shocked to see how bad some of the shadow detail and black levels were. Most of this film took place at night and these details are important for the look of the film. I think director Lawrence Kasdan and Warner should think about a new transfer. This terrific film deserves better.

Was the DVD at least anamorphic?

She definitely was hot. Later, though, she seemed to wig out a bit. Every time she would do an interview she would have a new accent. That's why I really have to hand it to Madonna; at least she remembers to keeps the same (British) affected accent. hehehe
