It has a new UPC code, probably a price drop or second printing.

It was out of stock for quite a while when Best Buy had the Warner 2 disk sets on sale for $15.99 a few months ago.
I ordered it online then . I just received it last week.
I think they just ran out and Warner had to produce more.

The original release was "quietly" recalled (in otherwords, allowed to die on the vine). The studio is not commenting on why the re-release...

So, are you suggesting that they changed the DVD in some way?

I know my copy had issues. It would constantly skip on the second disc. Maybe they just did a new pressing to correct the problem quietly? Not sure if it was widespread but it's a possibility.
