kill bill vol 1 dvd and vol 2 delay confirmed :(
Mirimax Home Video have today confirmed a delay for the region one release of Kill Bill: Volume One which stars the lovely Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. The disc was originally scheduled for a release on the 3rd February this year, but because of the delay to the theatrical release of Volume Two, the disc has now been put back until March at the earliest. Volume Two is now scheduled for a theatrical release in April. I'm afraid that's all we know at present, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything else. We're expecting the official announcement to arrive within the next few weeks, so stay tuned for that!
ahh at least I have my lovely bootleg copy with the strange music to hold me over until march. really pissed vol 2 is delayed though.

Reading this at DVDAnswers today made me very very sad. I was so worried about the dvd being delayed that Kill Bill 2 being delayed never crossed my mind. It was like a double punch to the gut.
Yes, it is entirely possible I am overly obsessed with Kill Bill Vol. 1.

The Damned,uncut or not?
This was announced as being uncut originally by all the major news sources. Some have even claimed to have seen an uncut restored print in theaters within the past few months.
Yet when Warner offically announced the specs for the releases. It said rated R,150 minutes. Meanwhile amazon.com,dvdempire.com & dvdplantet.com among others state unrated,157 minutes.
So which is correct? Does anyone know. Please tell us. I will never forgive Warner is they put a censored version upon us.
Of course press releases are not always correct. So I am hoping it is just a misprint.
I saw the artwork at dvdtimes & it was awsome & different compared to past VHS release covers.

Are you talking about the Visconti film? I'm not sure how that relates to a delay in Kill Bill. (I'm guessing you meant to start a new thread?)Anyway, I'm very disappointed about the Kill Bill delay, but we kind of saw it coming.

Disappointing news, but all good things come to those that wait and i for one would rather see a release that is of a high standard rather than just a rushed release ahead of Vol 2 in the theaters.

That's unfortunate. Maybe they will add a few more features since they have an extra month or so. At least we have another great movie being re-released that month...Top Gun: Special Edition.

Oh well, I'm disappointed but it will be out eventually, and besides with Lost In Translation and American Splendor also set for the original KB V. 1 release date of Feb. 3, I'm kinda happy to have one less DVD to buy the same day.

The Kill Bill monster continues to screw fans.
First they split the movie in two making you pay twice for it, then this delay.
Just release the damn thing already!
And re: THe Damned... Warner Brothers has some psudeo policy of not releasing unrated material (see Natural Born Killers, Eyes Wide Shut, etc.)
