I don't know how much of this was in 2003, but I just figured out that I spent about $1505 (plus tax or shipping where applicable) for my entire collection. Guzzlefish lists an estimated value of $4407.

I don't even want to think about it.

I spent about $2700 in 2003 on DVDs.

1999: 20 DVDs - $98.36 ($4.92/DVD)
2000: 68 DVDs - $337.96 ($4.97/DVD)
2001: 60 DVDs - $307.32 ($5.11/DVD)
2002: 69 DVDs - $469.78 ($6.81/DVD)
2003: 63 DVDs - $325.76 ($5.17/DVD)

Total: 276 DVDs - $1582.23 ($5.49/DVD - 79% savings)

I spent around $600 .. would have been less but I the 20% DDD sale cost me an extra 200.

I don't have an exact figure since I never keep track of how many dvds I buy in a year. But I do know I did not buy that many last year,maybe around 20 or so titles(seems like less than that). So I would say in the $100-$200 range at most.

Got alot of great deals,mainly some $5 finds at WM,alot of $10 MGM titles & other cheap but great dvds,add in a few higher priced SEs that are in the $15-$20 range + a one Criterion(Straw Dogs)..& yeah it would be under $200 when you add it all up.

Still not a bad haul overall compared to some other people who go crazy with dvd buying. I would say I am doing pretty damn well in keeping my purchasing in check,though my collection is still far from being complete!
