Decline of the American Empire DVD Q
I just came back from seeing the Barbarian Invasions in the theater, directed by Denys Arcand. I noticed in the lobby there was a poster that said the DVD of the Decline of the American Empire, an earlier film by Arcand, was available for sale by the movie theater for $14.95. I thought I might be able to find a cheaper price online, so I didn't buy it. Now that I'm looking around online, I see it isn't available anywhere. Anyone know what the deal is with this DVD? Is it available anywhere else besides theaters showing Barbarian Invasions? Are there plans for a wider release?

You can get it from Canadian online retailer DVDSoon for $24 CAD plus $4 CAD for shipping:

This works out to about $20 US -- more than you could have got it in the theater but not too bad.

Really hope that they eventually package these two movies ('Decline of the American Empire' and 'Barbarian Invasions') into a Denys Arcand Box Set-- they're great companion pieces.
