Site problems..
Last night the server was rebooted by Shaun, the dv-depot.com IT guy. He said that he would rebuild the server sometime today. As far as I can tell, not even the admins (myself being one of them) can access the site. It seems to be a DNS related issue.

it was a DNS issue that affected some people and not others. I never had a problem accessing the site, but I seem to be in the minority.
everything should be back to normal now though

Odd, it works for me. Try clearing your cache and then refreshing.

try this
I cleared my cache and cookies and still couldn't connect.
I could by using this though...http://207.44.184.122/dvdcoverart/
DNS is still fubar methinks.
login and registration is still pointing to the DNS name and not the IP address I believe too. Can't login there. I can browse files but not login.

here's the deal
Whatever ISP you are on is still pointing its DNS settings to the old dvdcoverart. It depends on the service but the maximum TTL before the DNS server goes out and says 'oh look its different now' is 6 days. Some are set to 6 hours, 30 seconds, whatever. So if you can't reach it, it might take 6 days for the new info to get into your ISP's DNS.

Damn. That sucks. I have a bunch of new covers to u/l. Can't do it if I can't log in.
<----- Mac user, can't try the above mentioned method.

Don't feel bad Micheal, I'm on a webTV and I can only access through the ISP addy. And the way webTV is it might take 6 months to update. Good thing I only look at the pretty pictures

temp fix as posted
this is the temp fix as posted on the dvdcoverart forum, that will allow logon's. go back later and delete the hosts file entry.
Open:
windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts(you will need to open the hosts file with notepad or something)
Then, add the following line...
207.44.184.122 www.dvdcoverart.com
Save the file, open a new browser window and go to www.dvdcoverart.com.
as stated this is a copy of the fix off of the dvdcoverart forum for those that have isp's that have not updated yet.

Just on and working fine too bad they don't have the covers I still need, Matt's message on not accepting credits cards and we'll have something new is wearing a bit thin IMHO
I want nothing to do with Pay pal they are notorius for coming back in a year and trying to recharge you, but not anymore I canceled their service.

I've been using PayPal for about 3 years now and have NEVER been recharged for anything. In fact I also use a 'PayPal/Mastercard Debit Card' and the 'cash back program' saves me an extra couple bucks on each of my weekly DVD orders.
I have never heard any such complaint before, from any source, so just how NOTORIOUS can it be???
By the way, PayPal is now owned by eBay.
