Where to find Disney's Cinderella oop

Ok well this dad waited too long and now I’m in trouble. My daughter like so many 3 year olds is obsessed with the Disney Princess thing. Is there anyway to purchase the Cinderella DVD ( not that horrid Cinderella II )? Any help would be appreciated, and yes its for xmas, like I said this is a bit last minute. (let the flames begin)

Actually you didn't wait long enough. Disney's animated Cinderella's never been released on DVD. Only bootlegs.

But, i'm sure Cinderella II: Electric Boogaloo would suffice, no?

It's part of the Platinum line and is a few years away.

I thought I read once there was a release in Europe, but of course you'll need to hack your DVD player. Check the international forum.

IIRC, Cinderella will be released on DVD for the first time in March 2005. It will be a two-disc set. It is one of three Disney Animated Classics never released on DVD. The other two are Alladin (which will be released on 5 October 2004) and Bambi (expected in March 2006).

I have one of the Hong Kong bootleg versions of Bambi. So it is possible to get it on DVD with a decent laserdisc transfer, but of course not legally.

Ok all thanks so much, for some reason I thought it was part of the 9 disc sets they were selling a while back. I appreciate all the responses, happy holidays
