Warner will probably do its deluxe treatment on it at some time.

Let's see . . . well, credits take about four minutes, so, technically, the movie is probably right at 2 hours exactly.

(How was that? Did I do good?)

Last time I checked, credits were still part of the movie/feature, therefore included in the runtime. Everytime you see an approximate running time on the back of a DVD, it takes the credits into account. Don't nitpick with the bull, boy, you'll get the horns.

I know . . . that was my point . . . take away the credits from the run time and the movie is right at two hours.

Next time I have to come in here and nitpick, I'm crackin' skulls!

I know the principals are mostly dead, but I know Oliva De Havilland is still alive, so maybe a commentary out of her could be good. But what would really be nice would be to make a "commentary" out of David O. Selznick's many famous and frequent memos on this picture(for all his pictures actually). I heard a terrifc audio book biography of D.O.S. and I don't know who the voice actor was, but you could just fell Selznick in his words. It might make an interesting extra as well.

I too am eagerly awaiting an update on this movie. Would love to see a 2-disc with loads of extras and history.

Ah, that's no problem. Just get Miracle Max to make some house calls on them.

Sounds like I'll wait and hope a little longer and not capitulate on getting the current version.
