ALIEN QUADRILOGY packaging...
After unfolding this box set today, one of the plastic disk supporters shifted; thus preventing me from folding it closed again. I tried shifting it back in proper position, but the glue pushed it back out of place. I returned it to the store for a replacement.
Did this happen to anyone else?

My set's ok but I really do hate these kinds of cases. i would have gladly paid more for the set if they offered each disc in a keep case like I'm sure they will in Jan'04 for the individual titles.

That's why I made my own.

Darthbong, Possibly a silly question but what does one do w/ these? I tried downloading it to my machine but when you blow it up to the right size the text is fuzzy. Is there a properly sized image around somewhere?
Looks great though
thx

This is up there with the worst packaging I've seen. This would be a good issue to bring up in the Fox Chat at hometheaterforum next Monday. For now I'll just put all the discs in jewel cases until I get through the entire set, so I don't have to keep opening up the box for each disc.

I think the outside of the box looks great, but yeah, once you go to open these kind of boxes they suck. I've thought so since "From the Earth to the Moon," the Star Trek:TNG boxsets, etc. Nothing like needing 4 feet of open space to unfold and get to Disc 1 or Disc 9...
You just know how they choose this type of packaging. They're all sitting around 20 foot conference table and they lay it out stretching the length of the table and all go "COOL!" none of them thinking that their conference table is larger than the room many people use for their home theater
But since that's my biggest complaint about this set, I'm pretty happy

i would highly recommend these
i added these to my old cases of the first two movies ( they snap into the literature tabs of a regular amaray) and moved the original discs to another case.
nice jacket art DarthBong- are you going to make it avail for downloading?
i've done my own up for the first film, but its not quite that elaborate.
i just wish i'd made a good scan of the LD cover before i sold it off.
the scan i'm using from the 25th ann dvd isn't as fine as i would like

Hoping to solve my packaging problem...prefer the R2 style packaging over the R1 however the R1 has commentaries that cover the directors cuts whereas R2 doesn't....my Brother wants Alien Quadrilogy as well for an xmas present and doesn't really have a great interest in DVD's on the whole....so...i've ordered the R1 for myself and will buy the R2 when it comes out next week and swap all the discs over

Is there any way I can get that cover art for my own movie?
What about the other movies?

That takes you to the page on DVDCoverart with a listing of all of them for the set.
There's also printing instructions on the Help section on the site for nemein

For best results I recommend using a good quality inkjet paper that is slightly thicker than regular paper, and has a brightness of 92 or above. Glossy or matte finish doesn't make a big difference - it depends on which look you prefer. Always print on the highest quality printer setting possible.
The standard DVD cover size is 10.8"x7.25". This presents a problem when trying to print on regular 8.5"x11" paper, because most printers cannot print close enough to the back edge to print the entire cover. The solution is to either a) use 8.5"x14" (legal sized) paper, or b) tape a small 2-3" strip of paper to the end of your 8.5"x11" sheet so your printer can print the entire length of the cover. This "tricks" the printer into thinking the paper is longer. Either way you need to set the print mode to landscape and make sure the leading (left) margin is 0 or as small as possible. If you use legal sized paper be sure to set that properly in the print setup option of whatever program you are using.
