Sigh.

The 126 minute theatrical cut.
The 138 minute "director's cut" shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
The 120 minute Dario Argento version entitled "Zombi."

That's three discs right there. Throw in a disc or two of extras and there you go.

I'd be totally up for a 4-disc release.

1. Theatrical Cut
2. Director's Cut
3. Argento's "Zombi" Cut
4. Extras
5. "Document of the Dead"

It still seems very much up in the air whether or not they'll be able to get the "Zombi" version and "Document of the Dead," hence the references to 3-to-5 discs.

My experience with Anchor Bay is take whatever they initially promise, cut in in half, and that's what you'll end up getting. If there is any doubt that a supplement may appear, it wont.

That being said, I'll be the first in line for the mega box set, assuming it actually happens.

I may double dip on this one. I don't own a copy of Dawn Of The Dead at present and I do have an urge to watch it.

So when's the 2-disc come out and does it have good extras? And when does the 4-5 disc come out?

I just hope that AB doesn't "punk out" and provide extras that are exclusive to the 2-disc set.

I already have Elite's NOTLD:ME, and broke down and picked up AB's Day:SE... I'm really looking forward to the 3-5 disc set. I have to admit, having the OOP US Theatrical disc makes it easier to wait. (I can only imagine how difficult it would be to wait if I didn't have ANY version on disc)

The more the merrier. As long as the price is reasonable, of course.

2 discs is enough. That argento cut is awful!
But, If there were a 4 or 5 disc version (which is insane for one film) I'd buy it anyway.

It's dawn of the dead!

"Broke down?"
Why, what didn't you like about it?
The parts with the dialog changed?
