The Simple Life coming to DVD 1/27

Has this show even been on the air yet?

From DVDAnswers:
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced the reality show Simple Life which features Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie. The series (which probably won't be seen nearly as much as the other Paris Hilton 'show' doing the rounds) will be available to own from the 27th January next year and should retail at around $19.98. The seven episodes will arrive on a double sided disc, with each episode being presented in 1.33:1 full frame with an English Stereo track. Five outtakes will also be included. We'll bring you the official region one artwork as soon as it becomes available to us. Stay tuned.
I wish they'd release shows I want this quickly.

Wow. I don't think this show has even been on television yet. I guess they figure with Hilton's recent "celebrity" that they should cash in on it, even if the show itself has no audience.

maybe they will put her "other" show on the disc as a very special bonus feature.

I thought there were more than 7 episodes.

I guess we don't get the "reunion" episode.

And it now is scheduled for release NEXT Tuesday, Jan 20th.

It'd be nice if they removed the "blurs"

Yes, the DVD comes out less than a week after the series ends.

New record?

the show was suppose to be a mid summer replacement so it's no surprise they would already have it ready.

Actually, the best thing about this is that I saw this available to buy from one of the local dvd stores here in Manhattan last Friday! So you could have actually bought it and watched the finale before it actually AIRED on Television!

Talk about Speed Of Release!!!!

Coming Soon To DVD... 24 Season 4!!! 2 Months before it even airs on TV!!!

It sux. Only good for a rental. How many times do u expect to watch each episode??? Now if it had audio commentary, that might be something else.... But then again, what could they possible say???

I was thinking the same thing. Especially since it got the show so much publicity.

How about uncensored? That would sell. The little glimpses of partial nudity that they blur out on tv. Teenage boy would show up in droves for that.

Maybe you should take your over to the TV Talk forum where I am sure there is a discussion going on about the show itself. This thread is about the DVD simply and it doesn't matter whether or not you think the show "sux."

I for one am looking forward to this one. My wife is making fun of me for getting it along with what over DVD i put in my Amazon order with it. Nice variety between Mel Gibson's version of Hamlet and The Simple Life I say.

The uncensored idea would be cool, but I somehow doubt it would have it on it. Anybody get a copy early that can anser that question? It looked like it was barebones except for some outtakes, but after catching a few episodes and getting it for around $12 on Amazon after Share the Love I would have gotten it no matter what was on it.
