The Indy trilogy used to be in the database, but mysteriously disappeared recently. Nobody knows why.

Woah...weird. I had it in my collection and now it is gone.

I had recently sent in some requests to add some cds titles months ago & have still gotten no response. When I sent in a dvd title to add before that, it was added within a couple of weeks. Wonder what is up with Guzzlefish...?

Well according to one of their forum posts I read, they seem to be having problems with the company that provides them this movie info. This explains why Alien Quad is not in their DB. They said that they will add it in manuall in a month if it is not available. My question is, WHY NOT DO IT NOW!?!?

Damn lazy bastards.

I wish they were better. The stats are so fun but darn, do they ever take a long time to add titles. I too sent in a lot of stuff months ago, cds and dvds, detailed information, not a one of them are up. It is maddening and makes me really appreciate dvdprofiler and dvdafic more.

Considering that it's only 2 people that run the site, I don't think you have the right to call them damn lazy bastards. They invested their own time and money into it, so any progress at all should be appreciated. I occassionally write reviews for them as well as being a moderator of the forums and even I don't feel the need to complain even though half of my Criterions don't come up as such. I'm just happy that the DVD collectors out there have another choice to choose from. If you like them then use them. If you don't, then don't, simple as that. They do have lives you know, you can't expect them to sit around all day and work on a freelance website, especially one that's not even paying them anything.

While this is true, it has been suggested many times that they empower the forum moderators or others to validate manual submissions. They said they were going to do that, asked for volunteers, and then vanished again and never responded.

WOW! You're right - the Indiana Jones Trilogy is missing! I added it to my collection on the day I got it, and now it's gone! What the f***?? Why would they do such a strange thing anyway?

Hmm... but my DVD count doesn't seem to be affected (I think).

Man, they don't even have "Dirty Dancing: Ultimate Edition" in there.

Oh wait, did I just admit to owning said disc?

How about considering that my rights to free speech are guarenteed in the free world, I would like to say that I do have the right to criticize anyone or anything. Just like how you are critizing my last post. I could care less that there are only 2 ppl running Guzzlefish. With that said, please feel free to call me an ass. It's well within your right to do so. Maybe those 2 ppl need a wakeup call because a lot of their loyal fans(myself included) want this site to go places, and not have this site die off.

I'm sure they didn't do it intentionally. Most likely Muze, the automated source where they get their database info, had a glitch and mistakenly dropped it. If the site were regularly monitored by the administrators, they could have fixed it manually.

Somebody's working over there - Peter Gabriel's Growing Up Live and Johnny Cash's Hurt have been added.

This is really pissing me off. No Alien Quadrilogy or Indian Jones Set still. How long does it take to add these major titles? On the other hand, my user submitted title of Pearl Jam: Live At The Garden was added less than a week after I submitted. The guzzle must be drinking like a fish.

That's an automated update via Muze.
