they sure should.
i wonder what the rights issues wit that are like.
i was tempted to give Triumph of the Will a shot, but from what little i've seen of it, it looks tedious.
Olympia on the other hand...
another Criterion/Voyager production i would like to see ported over to dvd was a disc titled "Call It Home".
it was primarily a text/photo based production on the beginings and rise fo suburbia.
1000's of scans of documents, ads, essays, photos.
touched on many other adjacent areas, such as the construction of the interstate highway system and it had about 40 minutes of vintage industrial/ govermental/ educational film material.
i wonder what the rights issues wit that are like.

FWIW, I asked Criterion about this title two months before Riefenstahl passed away, and I got the following reply:
"We would like to release it in the future, but have no plans at the moment."
It has been release (in two parts) in Germany though - R2 and without English subtitles....

I have a DivX of Olympia I. It’s only in German. I don’t know what the source is but I think it’s too clear to be anything besides DVD.
But if the LD one was supervised by Leni herself then it must be a good uncensored one!! An LD to DVD transfer of it would be nice!

I'd love to see Criterion release a boxset with this, Triumph of the Will and Wonderful, Horrible Life of Leni Riefenstahl.

I, on the other hand, would like a DVD release of Riefenstahl approved version last seen on LD,
and while there's nothing wrong with the present version of the other two films, they aren't cheap. A CC boxset of these three films together would be cheaper than buying them separately.

Triumph of the Will can be had for a good price at DDD (Wish I knew about this site when I bought it)

Give me a scenario in which you could purchase these three titles separately for less.

By the way, that Olympia LD is it parts I and II combined?? Or is it just one of them? Or is it a whole new version? Anyone know? And what language does the commentator speak??
