Is the new JFK: SE different than the Boxed Set one?

I checked to see if there were other posts about this but found none (and couldn't do a search because "JFK" isn't 4 or more letters).

Anyhow, I can't find much information about the differences (if any) about the JFK: 2 disc SE from the Oliver Stone Boxes set and the new release, which is packaged nicely in the style of the new Warner 2 disc films (Casablanca, One Flew..., etc.)

Right now, I'm on the fence on buying the new one just for it's great packaging. If there any worthwile new features, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Thanks in advance!
- Mike

The new version is basically the same except there is a 90-minute documentary added which was not included in the previous release.

Sounds worthwile, but I think I'll holdout and wait till this is a Columbia House enrollment title.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it's the same transfer.

Warner's packaging of two discs on the previous release is pathetic.

I do like the new packaging, however, I will hold off. Maybe I'll sell my current one and get the new one through Columbia House one day.

Another option is getting it as your free selection (well, for $3.25) by doing the Buy 2/Get 1 Free Warner offer discussed here.

As is the previous release.

I'm doing the same thing... It will be an enrollment title from CH in February... I'll "upgrade" then.

What does the 90-minute documentary cover?

Nice. I'm glad I held out on the boxed set. Now if they could just upgrade the Director's Cut of Natural Born Killers to a new anamorphic transfer that would be sweeeeeeeet.
