Naked Lunch at B&M

Anyone found Naked Lunch at a store? Tried hitting Ye Olde Beste Buye at lunch, they didn't have any. Is this another one of those 2 or 3 copies per store releases?

Try boarders books or suncoast.

Best Buy (whenever they get some stock) - 32.99 + tax

Borders (saw 2 there today) - 35.98 + tax

Suncoast (saw 1 there today) - 39.98 + tax

Try DDD instead (OOS at the moment) - 28.76 - no tax - free shipping

I know DDD isn't B&M as the subject title says, but it's a worthwhile alternative.

If you are in the Dallas area I got mine at The Movie Trading Company for $29.99. They had a bunch of them.

Right below Bitgod's name it says "Sacramento, CA"

I know DDD isn't B&M
It is if you're near Chicago, and they had copies on the shelf today.

How is this film as a blind purchase? I've never seen it but from what I hear, it's pretty good.

umm, well, that's a tough one. It is a brilliant masterpiece in my opinion.....but this is going to be too far out there for some people. Do you like Cronenberg films? If so, you have to see this film. I think it would be a good blind buy if you can honestly say you love strange fukced up films, and the stranger the better....if not, you might want to do a bit more research.

My local stores did not have it at all, so I ordered it from Amazon. With STL and $0.45 in trivia nickles, it came to $25.17 (free super saver shipping as well).

Where is the DDD B&M located? I'm up in the Northwest suburbs. I know they used to ship out of Itasca, but did not know they had an actual store.

Criterion shipped at least one major distributor in the US very late, so expect delays at a number of possible B+M's. It has no Canadian disitribution aside from parallel importers.

The storefront is at 900 N. Rohlwing Rd. (Rt. 53) in Itasca. It's just a small space at the front of a huge white warehouse. There's a tiny sign near the road which says something about discount cds & video or something, I forgot, but it does NOT say "Deep Discount DVD". It's behind the Shell station/7-11.

I got mine at Sam Goody's in Danville, Kentucky. I hated the price tag though ($40 bucks).

Um, yeah... what garmonbozia said.

I like the movie and these extras look fantastic. But this is probably a poster child AGAINST blind buys. Some people (the vast majority, actually) will not like it.

You're better off going with Netflix for this one.

Lousy blind buy. I'm a Cronenburg fan and a Burroughs fan, but still have reservations about the movie. However, if you liked Barton Fink you might give it a try. Otherwise rent it first (or catch it on cable/satellite).

I can think of two things wrong with that title.

C'mon, someone had to say it. I'm surprised it took this long.

Holy crap! I used to live right by there!! My wife works kinda close, I think I'll be giving her shopping lists in the future.

And this movie is indeed strange. I caught part of it on cable not too long ago, and was pretty weirded out.

If you liked 'Existenz' then you will like 'Naked Lunch'. I myself love David C. Everything he has directed is interesting in a Innerspace, headtrip, insane, who gives a crap this is how I view life, sort of way.

Just to clarify, they don't let you pick up orders. They don't even really take orders, per se... but you can call them and have them hold anything that is on their site, or have them pull anything from the warehouse while you're there if it's before 3:00 pm.

The building is Infinity Resources, and the store is called Movies & Music Outlet. They also handle Deep Discount CD and Critic's Choice Video catalog items.

Does the release include the trailer of the film?

It aired on FMC once & was one of the most memorable trailers I have ever seen. Would be a shame if it is not included on the dvd.
