Does the TTT DVD box set have a free ticket to ROTK?
My friend asked me this because he was interestedin buying it. If it does, which set includes it? The gift set or non gift set? Any help would be appreciated

man, that sucks. i was hoping it would have a free ticket as well.
i'm going with the non gift set since i didn't buy the gift set for the first one. tho, its tempting to get the gift set for TTT, i'm on a budget here and i'm not a LoTR fanatic. i just enjoy movies. i'm going to watch FoTR EE, TTT EE and then watch ROTK that night!

They don't have to include any free tickets and my guess is they won't--it's a different situation from one year ago. Virtually everyone who will buy this set will be going to see the last film, which will be hyped and nominated for awards up the wazoo.

There's a $5 movie coupon with the Nat Geo Beyond the Movie: Return of the King title. Street date 12/16. The extended TT doesn't really need the sales help.

Yep, thats exactly how I feel. The reason I bought the LOTR Extended Edition last time was for the ticket. I will still go see the ROTK but won't buy the extended edition of TTT

I can't wait to see the EE and am happy to pay to do so. I can't wait to see RotK in the theater and am happy to pay to do so. (Probably a couple of times at least) So, no ticket doesn't upset my plans in the least. It was nice having the free ticket last time but don't feel like it is owed to me or anything.

Cheap SOBs. That's it, I'm boycotting this disc. I only bought it for the ticket. I complain about even the best special editions out there. Who needs two discs of bonus features? The movie's so long already, why did they have to add 43 minutes? This sucks, you all suck, Lord of the Rings is STOOPID, blah blah blah wah wah.
Seriously, people. It's one of the best made film trilogies EVER, in an amazing special edition, and you still find something to complain about. WTF?
I mean, it comes with an insert, has no forced trailers, is in anamorphic widescreen - I don't get it.
I will be CAMPING outside of Best Buy to pick this baby up.
Who's with me? We can toast marshmellows.

The FOTR:EE is one of, if not the greatest DVD package that has been released for a single movie. Getting a free ticket with it was just icing on the cake (I used it for one of the three times I saw TTT in the theaters). Yes it would be nice to get another free ticket, but to withhold buying the Two Towers extended edition set just because it doesn't have a free movie ticket in it is ridiculous. Since when does a DVD need to give you admission to ANOTHER movie in order to be worthwhile?

I don't feel like paying $25 bucks for the movie. If the ticket was in there, I feel like I would be getting some value out of the purchase.

I love how people, say respect others taste in films and DVD purchasing, but when it comes to LOTR, even the most senior members can't resist making personal comments about DVD taste and the such.
