LotR jealousy aside, am I the only one disappointed X2 isn't in a digipack? I keep the ones in my collection seperate from the regular keepcases, and stuff like this kind of throws off the organization. Ah well.

As much as I want this EE, I would never pay $40, or whatever the original poster did, for a DVD a couple weeks early.
I am a DVD fan and all, but I draw a line somewhere

Id rather wait 2 weeks AFTER the release date and get it at a good price than get it 2 weeks before hand and get ripped off. I dont understand why people let themselves get ripped like that. Just for bragging rights?

If you like the bragging rights and willing to paid 2x the price, it's all good. I on the other hand will pickup TTT:EE for under $20 and the regulars for under $15. Mmmm... red box... nice.

I'll see about TTT.

Alright OP, you convinced me. I'm gonna go bust down a retail store warehouse and get me some TTT:EE action.

RGB . . . Red, Green, and Blue . . . can't match much better than the subtractive primary colors.
I guess they could have gone with the additive ones, but then we would have had yellow instead of green . . .

Slop101. You're in Orange County too. If they have an extra X2, or if someone in OC, CA knows of a place to grab X2 early, I'd really appreciate it. My girlfriend hasn't seen it and really wants to (I've seen it, but really dig that movie.)
Thanks to anyone that can help.

Maybe illegal is the wrong word to use. I s'pose it isn't strictly illegal, but most stores will get put out if discovered. There are hefty fines for putting things out early.
The worst that can happen for big chains is loss of co-op advertising dollars, and repeat offender smaller chains may have to wait until well after street date to get product from the studios that they broke street date on.

You don't always have to overpay to get releases before the street date. I know a place (The name will not be disclosed, I don't want to put them out of business) nearby that does break the street date with sale prices. I picked up Warner's To Have and Have Not DVD 9 days prior to it's release for $15.98, among others.
