Mondo Cane box rarity?

I know this is limited to 10,000 copies but how hard do you think this will be to find in a few months? I wont have enough money to buy it for a while.

There was a discussion about this in another thread
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=310260
starting on about page 4. Someone there posted that one website stated that they were "fully subscribed" which I assume means that they have shipped all they are going to ship. Whether you can find it in a store depends on how popular it is in your area. Most of the online retailers still seem to be offering it though.

dont be foolish on this. if you want it...get it soon. I'm not saying it's all gone in 2 months...but with the great word of mouth this puppy is getting, many who were not getting it, have changed their minds. GREAT SET!!!!!

That was true in my case, I really hated to part with the 90 bucks at DDD, but I thought I'd better get while the gettings good. I wouldn't be surprised if the movies are available individually (not as a boxed set) for as long as there's a demand. If you really want the box set, it would probably be worth floating it on your credit card for two months.

Although the original plan was to do both a boxset and individual releases, that plan was scrapped. There will only be the boxset.

Yeah 90 clams is a lot now but if you wait til after X-mas, the supply may dry up. Then it will be on to Ebay & well you know that won't be cheap. Like Gut said, there has been a very good word of mouth on this release & that can only help to introduce Blue Underground to more people. Then those people can see what we have known for a while, that BU is a kick-ass company that puts out the best product possible no matter what the title is.

Remember how word of mouth on here probably sold a few dozen extra copies of I Drink Your Blood? It didn't take long before the 500 were gone gone gone.

I spoke to Bill Lustig tonight, and he confirmed that all 10,000 copies have been sold out from Blue Underground. This doesn't mean that retailers are all out of them, of course, just that BU has no more sets to supply anyone with. I asked him if BU might do individual releases down the line, and he said that if they do it, it wouldn't be for at least a year from now.

Good for Bill and BU. This bodes well for future releases like this.

For those of you in San Diego that's interested.... I spotted the boxset at Blow Out Video. Also [whisper]they broke up a couple boxsets so you can buy each movie individually[/whisper]

gut - I can't remember which set it was, but they've done it before. But they kept the Indy trilogy as a set, though you'd think that would be one to break up. Maybe brisk sales (they sold out) deterred this.

Giles - Too funny.... but I can imagine there are people doing that.

if I may...just want to add one last thing. this set is OUTSTANDING!!

I'm having a few buddies over later today who want to check out a few hours of it. I'm game! they read some stuff about it and are very excited. has anyone ever seen a copy at Best Buy? I thought they might get a copy or two. if I see it on shelves....it might be the first X-mas gift I pick up for somebody.

I don't know what they're called, but there are 8 individual colored translucent cases. They're standard keepcase height, but really thin, like the ones they used to give away with AOL discs for a short time.

Just got mine in the mail! Took a bunch of pics for you and whomever else!

Oh, you can't tell from the pics, but parts of the case are translucent blue and see-through. And it's raised up a bit too. Nice box!

I got mine from a seller at Amazon who's got it for under $70 shipped! Set arrived yesterday, brand new (as described) and in perfect shape. Evidently, the seller still has a couple left, as I noticed a new listing when I went to post feedback. Good luck!

I ordered one yesterday from DDD (using the 20% off coupon--$72 shipped), and the order is processing (the item is in-stock).

A great Christmas stocking stuffer!

If DDD doesn't fulfill soon, you may consider that they will not be able to get any for you.

You can imagine how many people are trying to get it on the coupon and imagine that they wont be able to fulfill them all.

I jumped on this because I noticed it real cheap on half.com for a while. $69. The supply is going down and the price up.
