Mondo Cane box rarity?

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
It shipped on December 2, not November 30, which is understandable, because their automated ship date estimates probably don't take into consideration the temporary delays due to the surge of orders.

You should send an e-mail with your name and address to Blue Underground stating that you have a cracked box. Blue Underground has said they are making replacement boxes.

i also ordered one from DDD at the beginning of the coupon (i was unaware it was becoming rare already) and got it no problem.
I just looked it over, and it is in good shape except one teeny tiny little itsy bitsy bit of crumbled plastic on the cover - no bigger than one centimeter. Is this what everyone is talking about the 'cracked boxes'? I don't know if it is a big enough crack to even bother with (of course when it is worth $600 I may think differently)
/antiques roadshow appraiser voice: " well, yourMondo Cane box would've been worth $5,000,000 but because of the crack, it is only worth $500! And you shouldn't have cleaned it either, it'd be worth much more with its original patina."

No, my box had major chunks missing, including the flaps. This actually prevents my box from closing in the rear. These boxes crack badly. Yours may do so yet. I would recommend submitting your name and address to Blue Underground for a new box. At the price this set sells for why should we settle for substandard packaging.

wow...sorry to hear of all the bad luck. I've been pulling mine out every few days, either to watch something or show a friend the box. I've been putting it through hell....and it still remains in perfect condition. weird.

I read on one of the DDD coupon threads that someone ordered this so I read the description and decided to try it out. Then I read more about and can't wait to watch it
AND the set is a collector's item to boot!
So am I in for a treat?
Edit:
This started innocently enough. Then
and it all went downhill from there.
I'm utterly disgusted by this DVD and utterly fascinated. I'm half an hour into it. Each segment is weirder than the last. I gotta admit the
was freaking hilarious.
blind buy.
