Seeing how this is originally a Spanish film, I don't see much need for an English track. What I do hope is that the English subtitles are removeable this time (as opposed to the Anchor Bay version).

I loved Tombs of the Blind Dead, Did it mention if they are releasing the first two separatly are on one disc like Anchor Bay did. I never knew there were anymore after the second one so those are two i will definitly have to pick up.

even though I have the Anchor Bay double feature disc, I haven't yet watched them, and with this weekend being Halloween maybe I should find the time and watch them. Question: how will BU's editions differ from AB, I would assume better prints, right? Will they be longer cuts of the films as well?

Actually, most Spanish horror films were shot using English dialog and later dubbed for various countries. An English track does exist for the first film (and the other three as well), and the English language actually fits the actors' mouth movments better. Actor Paul Naschy spoke most of his lines in English, even though he didn't know what he was saying (his voice was always dubbed by other actors)!

They are supposed to be completely remastered, and at least the 2nd one will be from a better print. The AB DVD of Tombs was too washed out, colour wise. I've heard this was due to early faulty compression methods, because the Elite LD was taken from the same print and looks much more colourful (so I'm not sure if the new DVD will be from a new print, because really there is nothing wrong with the existing one, that I'm aware of). The print AB used for Return of the Blind Dead was incomplete, so I'm assuming that the new DVD will be from a new, uncut print (thats what BU is saying anyway). I'm not sure what language that print is in, English or Spanish.

Yes, just like most horror/giallo Italian films of the 70s and 80s were shot silent with practically everyone speaking different laguanges. I did pay attention to the actors' mouths, and noticed about a half and half ratio of Spanish to non-Spanish speaking. The beautiful brunette that decides to spend the night with the Dead was definitely speaking Spanish. I would just prefer to see it this way since it was a Spanish production......just like I would prefer to hear Soledad Miranda speaking Spanish in the Jess Franco films instead of German (?!?).
