Hmm, I was waiting on the Indiana Jones Trilogy as my most anticipated release. Last week was a great week for me!
Next would be Star Wars Trilogy.
After that, here are the titles that I am waiting for...
Schindler's List
others -
The Great Escape (reissue)
Robocop DC (reissue)
Titanic (reissue)
Goodfellas (reissue)
As to the numerous posts about the non-SE Star Wars DVDs, do not hold your breath. They are Lucas's movies, not ours.
I didn't like some of the additions to it (mainly Greedo shooting first). But for the most part, it doesn't bother me. It is just a damn movie! I wish people would quit harping on it, but I guess that is their right.

I use to have both black super laserdisc box sets of each. When I purchased the Special Editions I never watched the origionals again. Personally I liked most of the Special Editions, and thought that many of the scenes needed updating.
The dogfight scene in A New Hope looks 100% better. I hated looking at the plates in the old version, and it just looked to fake to me. Remember this is where most of the money went into was this battle.
Im glad to hear that the lightsabre scene in A New Hope is fixed as well. I laughed each time I saw Obi-Wan pointing a stick at Vader. Im waiting to pass judgement on the CGI clouds on Tatooine.
Im still waiting for Lucas to fix a scene in Empire that pisses me off. When I heard about the Special Editions coming out with new and improved scenes, I was jumping up and down that Ian Mcdirmid would film a new scene to replace the other actor they had for the Emperor. The current rumor now is when the mega box set comes out that this will be touched up with Palpentine in the old ruined Jedi temple. That would just totally rock, I hope so. Another rumor is adding the Emperor in A New Hope, disolving the Senate right before the Death Star choke scene. Im sceptical, but I hope is does it right.
Anyway, point is, Im pretty happy with the Special Editions and having both to me doesnt matter. I had both on Laserdisc for years and never broke down to watch the old ones. Speaking of, the ET DVD thats out now, Ive watched the SE many times now and cant tell you what the other disc looks like. Im sorry but Speilberg did an excellent update and ET made me emotional this time around. Every time I watched ET before I could never connect with him. Just too fake looking, but the new one looks real. I finally got emotional watching this, like my mother did back in the day, and finally got what she was crying about. I was embarrased going to see this with her.
I have argued many time before that Star Wars SE need a DVD release. If I heard Lucas right the first and second time, a box set of all movies will be available on the HD-DVD format only. Releasing the SE in 2004 will be the smartest thing Lucas has done since he made the SE in the first place. Stop the pirates and have all 6 films on the DVD format. Im expecting that in Oct, Nov of 2005 we will get Episode 3 on the DVD format only. Sony plans to launch there new HD-DVD format that year as well, so 2006 sounds good for me for the HD box set. This gives Lucas over a year to cut in the new footage filmed during Episode 3 for A New Hope and Empire, a year for Sony HD-DVD to get into the market.
Hopefully we will have all 6 films on the DVD format and HD-DVD. My son can have his copies and Daddy can have his.
Now I want royalties for this suggestion, but this would make everyone happy, I think. Assuming that Lucas plans a 2004 box set of Star Wars following the Indy trend, but with a twist. Each Indy disc has no features and only 5.1. Why not have a two disc version of each film, one disc the origional, the other the '97 special edition. No special features, just 2.0 surround for the origional, and 5.1 for the special edition. This would make all those purist out there happy as well. Now throw in a 7th disc of trailers and such and be done with it. Everyone is happy.

I just do not want two versions of the movies in my boxset that I would purchase. I really think that he wants definitive versions of them and will not go back to the originals. I didn't like some of his additions, but for the most part it makes the series feel more complete. I would not care if he added a bit more to tie them all together.
It is just my opinion and I am sure alot of purists disagree. But, why does he have to please them? He is already rich and the loss of sales from the purists will not be that significant.
