Does Showtime release DVDs?

...Of their original movies? I'm particularly talking about "Behind the Red Door"

Does anyone know if they do, or ever will?

Thanks.

Well, they have released at least one of their original series (Queer as Folk), and a few movies (Amy's O, Finding Buck Mchenry, The Passion of Ayn Rand), so they do release dvd's.

Edit: Just checked, and Behind the Red Door is scheduled for release on 12/16/03.

Season sets of The Chris Isaak Show would be nice too.

I'll third the Chris Isaak show. It reminds me of Curb Your Enthusiasm without the cynicism. No "look how funny I am" characters (Kramer, etc.), just good writing & more subtle humor. I just started watching season 2 & am finally catching up on season 1 now that they've been showing them in order every Friday. Season 3 starts in December, so maybe it will renew interest. Is it still on VH1 too? I remember they were sharing the costs for season 2 & showing them as well, but I haven't seen them at all.

According to thedigitalbits, "Showtime will release Family Business: The Complete First Season on 1/6, with Out of Order (the pilot episode) following on 1/13." We all know about the bits' record at times (though I don't have near the problem with them that some people seem to), but this must mean at least that it's coming.

So perhaps Showtime's gonna start trying to catch up with HBO with the sets... of course, it would help to start with better programming

I've seen a fair number of copies of "Behind the Red Door" in the previously viewed racks at Blockbuster. It may have been a store exclusive prior to being released to the general public.

Typo? DDD shows a release date of 1/06/04 for Family Business. Also, it's best to use a DVD Talk referral link so that this site gets the credit. No offense, but you've used your own referral link here (which I altered in the quote).

Weren't they also going to release Penn and Teller's Bullshit onto DVD, too?

I would kill for The Chris Isaak Show on DVD. It's so fun and quirky that it has wonderful replay value.

Wouldn't mind picking up Odyssey 5 either.
