I'm suprised so many people don't care about trailers. Trailers are an art form in themselves. It's a creative process to edit and combine images from the movie into a great looking trailer. I love trailers.

I think the best trailer ever was for Star Wars Ep 1. I remember watching it and getting so hyped for the movie!

Then, the movie came along and disappointed me (other than the final battle between the Jedi's and Darth Maul).

Trailers are commercials.

Not worth what? It was free for god sake, and $14.99 is the best price I've seen.

As for the disc, I thought it was a pretty cool freebie. If you have Revisited and the Anamatrix it's nothing new (other than the Reloaded trailer), but for people like me that have neither it's a cool bonus.

As for the trailers, they are both Anamorphic but not in 5.1. You can't select them as theirs no menu. The disc begins with the Matrix trailer and ends with the Reloaded trailer. There are chapters so you can skip to them.

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
To clarify more info from Josh's post, the trailer for THE MATRIX is in non-OAR 1.78:1 (but that's better than the one on the MATRIX REVISITED disc, yes? I'd heard it was full frame), and the trailer for THE MATRIX RELOADED is in its proper OAR of 2.35:1. I'll have to take Josh's word that neither are 5.1, but damn the trailer for RELOADED was LOUD!

Oh, and for Roto's inane comment, I'll only say that (with full love for and agreement with the anti-consumerism ethos of FIGHT CLUB) in today's media market, commercials are often more artistic, unique and boundary-pushing than the programs in which they find themselves ensconced.

Definitely not 5.1. Light didn't come on the receiver, and no other audio tracks to switch to. Just prologic. Still no big deal for me, as like the other guy I could really care less about trailers for movies I've already seen.

Same here I had to do some digging to find a widescreen with the bonus, and as I grabbed the only one I saw two guys behind me asked me were I found it

FYI

The Easton BB in Col, OH had a sign up that quantities are limited on the bonus disc and that each site had a minimum of 350.
Oh yeah, you saw that too? I went there Tuesday. By the way, I also know Brad who works in that department. He comes into the video game store I work at. He said the sign was because a metal case was supposedly advertised or something? They seemed to still have plenty of the discs when I was there.

I got lucky and got the WS version with the bonus disk too... lucky because I didn't know there was a FS version and wasn't looking when I picked it up!

I was there today and didn't see any with bonus discs. I didn't look that hard either.

I didn't say commercials couldn't be artistic (VW for example), but very few are. For me, the same goes with trailers. There are some that I like, but the vast majority I can live without. What percentage of trailers are narrated by the same guy? I wonder if he scripts them too since they have created so many cliche phrases like, "In a world..."

As far as DVDs go, I'm usually only interested in watching trailers I've never seen before from movies before my time, or just so old I don't remember them at all. I've never watched them more than once though.

For those that pre-ordered via the website, you most likely didn't or won't get the bonus disc... as of yet.

I didn't get mine, but I did get a lovely email from Best Buy today:

I can wait four weeks. They never did send me the extra disc for Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. No email either.

Anyways, just a FYI.

Their link to get the bonus disc from the web-site still works, so they should come through (eventually) if you buy it there:
