Where are the pre-orders for NIGHT OF THE COMET?
I can't find even one. Doesn't it come out at the end
of this month (10/28)?

It isn't in the database of any DVD search engine I checked, including dvdpricesearch. Here's a thread about this from a while back. It appears that digitalbits may have been the only source for the "announcement", proving once again how reliable they are!

It's possible that the company releasing it might have been a bit (*ahem*) ambitious in thinking that they had the rights to release it. Here's the thread about how they handled Convoy:

This really scares me! Why couldn't someone else be releasing this little gem? Oh, the horrors! Maybe, just maybe, they'll surprise us and release a terrific transfer. Fingers are crossed...

Fangoria has also reported it is coming out.

However, if it does materialize, I wouldn't order it until I've read some reputable reviews. PFE/Triumph (as noted above) screws up their DVDs and may even be releasing what are essentially bootlegs.

I thought that I had read that this title was being acquired by Blue Underground and would be released next year.

You're probably thinking of The Final Countdown.

I wish Blue Underground would release this. It would be a great disc with great picture/sound.
