Which Brigitte Bardot DVD's to get?
I hope this is in the right forum. Anyway, I just saw Cirterion's release of And God Created Woman. I really enjoyed the scenery, including St. Tropez. Which of Brigitte Bardot's other movies on DVD should I pick up. I recognize I should probably get Criterion's release of Contempt.
Did she have any other movies that were filmed in the south of France similar to And God Created Woman.

Don Juan, Or If Don Juan Were a Woman is a film that I quite enjoyed and seems to get a bad rap.
Une Ravissante Idiote is another film I quite enjoyed. The DVD, however, is AWFUL. Avoid it like the plague. One wonders how subtitles could possibly contain a typo, let alone so many typos.
You won't really get the same scenery you are looking for, but you will get a different kind of scenery.

Try Anchor Bay's "Please Not Now". I thought it was a really funny and charming movie, more-so than the better known "And God Created Woman", even though it was also directed by the same guy. In PNN, she's playing a spacey yet adorable model. It's a screwball comedy set in Paris. Towards the end there's a very revealing striptease fantasy sequence that is undeniably super-sexy, but so powerful that it takes you out of the movie, which is unfortunate in that regard, since it is a terriffic movie! I found my copy in a K-Mart $5.99 bin over the summer, so good luck, and hope that helps.

Found both "Please Not Now" and "Come Dance With Me" in the same K-Mart $5.99 bins. DEFINITELY worth the purchase, if for her "dream" dance scene in PNN alone. I'll also give my
to the two Criterions. The "Contempt" set is especially nice.
