I don't understand why people get upset about stores breaking release. I can understand the studios, but as a DVD fan you should be happy you can get a release early.

I think some people are just jealous others got it before them. If some store near them has it a week and 5 days before official release, they wouldn't complaining... humans.

My copy came with a free lap dance and 10% off my next order of freebase cocaine. I feel good about supporting organized crime and Asian street gangs, after all they work hard too...
Funny how the new matrix comes in a CD case now and not the normal dvd case...

In New York there are plenty of places you can get DVD's before release date, but the prices are always steep. If someone wants to pay that price that's there option or just wait for the release date and buy it cheaper.

I'm getting mine on Monday Oct. 6th and I already got my auction canceled for my other copies. It looks like the other 3 are going back to the distributor, because I myself had to pay a hefty price to get them before release date.
Oh well atleast I get MY early copy out of this mess.

I'd surely pay $25 just to get it a week before street date. That final weekend is usually a killer for me, if it's a big release. Just for the record I paid $21.50 for mine and no tax. Since it was my store thing.

exactly how much is a good price...25.00 seems fine...oooh, save 10.00 at walmart on the release date...If I can brag to other Matrix fans that i got the movie already, then I'd do it....but I never cared for the Matrix movies to start with.

This ain't that big a deal...fyi...i can think of 6 stores off the top of my head that break street date.
The reason i'm poking my nose in this thread is because you really shouldn't post the names of these stores. It tends to ruin it for the rest of us when you do such things. It's very KNOWN around NYC that these stores do it. Just don't advertise it.
